Terms of use for the Self-Service Gateway

General

The Self-Service Gateway is for staff and students of the University, the Colleges and related institutions to select, purchase and automatically set up selected services. University Information Services runs the Self-Service Gateway.

Services available through the Self-Service Gateway may be provided by either University Information Services itself or third-party organisations.

These terms of use relate to your use of the Self-Service Gateway. These terms do not apply to any other services, including those available for purchase through the Self-Service Gateway, which have their own terms of use.

Payments

You can pay for services in the following ways:

  • by uploading a valid, approved purchase order PDF to the Self-Service gateway when prompted to do so;
  • by credit or debit card (when this option is available).

Cash, cheques and other means of payments are not accepted.

Should your payment be declined for any reason, we will temporarily suspend any services we have already set up for you until your payment clears.

Availability

We do not offer a formal service level agreement (SLA) for the Self-Service Gateway, however we intend it to be always available.

When setting up a service provided by the Self-Service Gateway for you, we rely on the availability of that third-party service. When those services are provided by organisations other than University Information Services, we have no control over their availability.

For statements on the availability of any services other than the Self-Service Gateway itself, please refer to the corresponding service level agreements for those services.

Your responsibilities

It is your responsibility to determine whether a service is appropriate for you to use in the manner you wish to before you start to use it.

You should also review and act upon any Information Services Policies, Rules and Guidelines that apply to you.

Responsibilities of University Information Services

We are responsible for maintaining, backing up and restoring the infrastructure on which the Self-Service Gateway is running.

We are not responsible for any services made available through the Self-Service Gateway that are provided by organisations other than University Information Services.
